Manipur Basketball Players honoured for achievements

Youth Amateur Welfare Association (YAWA), Singjamei Leishangthem Leikai, Imphal West District, Manipur, honoured three talented basketball players from the Manipur Basketball Association in recognition to their outstanding achievements.
Social activist Oinam Romen Singh presided over the event, where he felicitated the players in recognition of their success. The players were selected following a rigorous Trial Selection held at Hojai, Assam on June 22nd and 23rd, aiming to identify promising talents from the North Eastern Region.
Out of the seven players representing the Manipur Basketball Association, Prince Achom, Ketherin, and Anjelina Sharma emerged victorious, securing their spots for further training at Corvuss American Academy in Karjat, Maharashtra. This opportunity not only promises them free education but also prepares them for potential participation in the Asian Games scheduled for 2026.
Apart from honoring them, Oinam Romen Singh extended financial assistance to the players, emphasizing his support for their future endeavors. He expressed his heartfelt wishes for their continued success in both academics and sports.
