The Universal Friendship Organization (UFO), Utlou Branch, celebrated its 26th Raising Day on Thursday at the Langthabal Phuramakhong Battalion campus, under the Imphal West Headquarters No. 1. The event was organized in collaboration with the Meitei Huyen Langlon Sintam Shanglen (Satjal Academy), located within the battalion premises.
Marking the significance of the day, Zilla Parishad member of Leimapokpam Gram Panchayat, Kangujam James, offered floral tribute at the shrine of Ebudhou Pakhangba and hoisted the Malemgi Phiral (Universal Flag) amidst a solemn gathering. UFO members rendered a salute to the flag, followed by a unity assembly at the venue.
Several key dignitaries attended the event, including Home Secretary General Laishram Loyumba, General Secretary Y. Wangthoiba, Chief Commander of Nongpok Pana Tenggol Lakpa Loisang Y. Chingsanglakpa, and instructors of the Satjal Academy. President of the UFO Langthabal Phuramakhong Battalion, L. Somorjit, along with members from various branches also took part in the celebration.
Women representatives from the Meira Paibi and Ema Ebel groups in Utlou also participated in the program, contributing to the successful observance of the day.
