Imphal, May 22:

The Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF), a proscribed group, issued a statement today denying any association with the six individuals recently apprehended by a combined security force. According to the security force, Nandeibam Opendro @ Risikanta (49), Yumkhaibam Rakesh @ Puri (32), Ngangom Lakhan @ Nanao (24), Wangkhem Ratan (47), Heisanam Deben (41), and Moibungkhongbam Binu (49) were arrested in the Lamshang area on May 21.
The RPF clarified that none of these individuals have any connections with the organization or its armed wing, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). This statement comes in response to the security forces’ claims about the arrests, aiming to dissociate the group from the individuals in question.
