Imphal, April 1:
The athletes and officials from Manipur who represented India at the 10th World Yogasana Championship, held in Hanoi, Vietnam from March 28 to 31, 2025, received a warm and hearty reception today at Imphal International Airport. The welcome ceremony, which took place at 3:30 PM, was graced by Dr. Basudev Singh, President of the Manipur Yoga Society and Vice-President of the All India Yoga Culture Federation.
The Manipur contingent made a remarkable impact at the championship, securing a total of 6 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals, and 2 Bronze Medals. The athletes were celebrated by fellow sportspersons, yoga enthusiasts, supporters, and family members, who greeted them with garlands, applause, and hugs to honor their exceptional achievements.
Among the officials accompanying the athletes were Dr. L. Sibananda Sharma (Team Manager of the India Team), Dr. A. Ranjit Singh (Male Coach), and Shri Ksh. Joy Singh (Assistant Manager). Their contributions to the team’s success were also acknowledged during the reception.
