A Cancer Awareness cum Free Health Check-up camp was held today at Prajapatia Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya in Pheidinga, Imphal West. The event aimed to promote the importance of early cancer detection and provide free health screenings to the community.
Dr. Prof. G.S. Moirangthem, Director and CEO of Karkinos Manipur Cancer Care Institute, emphasized the significance of timely cancer detection, stating that “Cancer can be cured 100 percent if detected early.” He highlighted the importance of recognizing early warning signs of cancer and the various treatment options available.
Dr. W. Imo, in charge of cancer detection at Karkinos Hospital, Dr. K. Rajo, Head of Anesthesiology at Karkinos Hospital, and Biken Nilima, Manipur Incharge of Brahma Kumaris, were the chief guests at the program.
The health camp saw active participation from the Brahma Kumaris community, who underwent health check-ups as part of the initiative. The event underscored the critical role of awareness and regular health screenings in effectively combating cancer.
