ZUF to hold political dialogue with GOI April 19

After signing the ‘Cessation of Operation Agreement’ with the Government of India (GoI) and Government of Manipur, the armed insurgent group Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) is set for political dialogue with the government on April 19, 2023.
In a statement by the outfit, the ZUF lauded the present Government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving priority to resolve the indispensable issues being face by the Zelianrong people.
The statement by Alur Seikho, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Information & Publicity of ZUF has appealed to Zeliangrong kindred people for collective support and inclusive political mass drive towards asserting the just and deserving rights to live together under one administrative unit of the Union of India.
The Zeliangrong Political Movement have its long history of suffering, sacrifices and contributions for the making of free India pre and post-independence. Despite our contributions and participation as equal citizens of India, our case has been long neglected and ignored for no reason of our own but the adamant attitude of the past Indian leaders, it added.
The ZUF after much toils and hope beyond the current complicacies could come up to present our case before India in the name and cause representing all sections of the Zeliangrong kindred people for political settlement with the GOI.
