Youth of Manipur not happy with govt. over denial of permission for public meeting

Upset with the denial of permission by the Government of Manipur for the scheduled public meeting to be held at Patsoi yesterday, the Youth of Manipur asked the state government to demonstrate that state law still exists in hill areas of Manipur, as they are executing here in the valley.
The Youth of Manipur also questioned the state government about what actions would be taken against the press release of the World Kuki-Zo Intellectual Council that went viral on social media openly declaring preparation of war on Manipur. The World Kuki-Zo Intellectual Council, in its press release on October 24, stated that Kuki-Zo people should stock up on all necessary items as soon as possible as they are waging war against Manipur in the coming mid-November.
It may be mentioned that the Manipur Government issued an order on October 11 and 26, 2023, stating that nobody shall be allowed to circulate or spread videos, images, and pictures through various social media platforms, and anyone misusing technology for inciting violence and hatred shall also be dealt with appropriately under the relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act, Rules, and IPC.
The Youth of Manipur further warned the state government that they would not remain silent if the government failed to take action against the World Kuki-Zo Intellectual Council.
Since the beginning of the ongoing conflict, every section of the citizens has been dissatisfied with the government, as the Manipur government has been powerless to deal with any situation in hill areas dominated by the Kukis. In the Kukis-dominated area, not a single tear gas shell was fired till today, whereas an unlimited number of tear gas shells are fired in the valley area, a protestor told an Imphal Times reporter while taking a report during this conflict.
Furthermore, while several tear gas shells were fired at students protesting the kidnapping and deaths of two youths, central and state forces failed to fire a single tear gas shell at a group of about 500 Kuki-Zo women who have been blocking Imphal-Moreh National Highway 102 in Manipur, who prevented a company of Manipur police personnel from moving to Moreh, a border town, where they were sent by the government to maintain law and order.
