Imphal, June 16:

In the wake of a recent terrorist attack by Kuki narco-terrorists on the Advance Security Convoy Team during the Chief Minister’s visit to Jiribam District, Youth for Change, Heingang A/C has demanded the removal of the Security Advisor and Director-General of Police (DGP) due to their alleged incompetence in handling security issues.
The attack, which occurred on June 10th, specifically targeted Meitei communities in Jiribam, prompting strong condemnation from Youth for Change. The organization expressed deep concern over the escalating terrorism in the region, which has led to the displacement and suffering of innocent residents. They highlighted the urgent need for a decisive and effective response to counter the threats posed by Kuki narco-terrorists, known for their involvement in serious crimes including murder, arson, and displacement.
Youth for Change criticized the high-ranking officials for their inadequate response to the escalating violence in Jiribam. They emphasized that the current leadership has failed to protect the lives and properties of Manipur’s citizens, calling for their immediate removal. The organization urged authorities to appoint competent individuals capable of ensuring robust security measures and preventing future incidents of terrorism.
