YFPHR appeals Govt. to provide assistant to Victim of Military Coup in Myanmar

While expressing strong condemnation to the inhuman treatment committed by the Millitary of Myanmar which killed more than 300 civilians in the neigbouring country Myanmar , the Youth’s Forum for Protection of Human Rights (YFPHR) appealed the government of India and Manipur to provide all the necessary humanitarian assistance to the victims of military coup and civilians who are taking shelter for their lives in Manipur and other border states of India to Myanmar in collaboration with the Civil Society Organizations of the states.
A statement of the Forum said that since the military coup in Myanmar, large number of civilians are searching to take shelter in safer places in various part of Myanmar and to their neighboring countries.
“We could observe large number of civilians from Myanmar are taking shelter in border town of Manipur, Nagaland and Mizoram of India for which a strong humanitarian assistance is required for their protection as being a largest democratic country in the world”, it said adding that in most of the instances during conflict women, children, elderly people and differently abled are the most vulnerable and need proper care and protection.
The statement said that YFPHR will also extend Humanitarian Assistance for the victims and civilians who are taking shelter and YFPHR stands in solidarity with the suffering people of Myanmar.
