UCM pays tribute, plants trees at Mount Manipur

The team of United Committee Manipur (UCM) who had left Imphal for Andaman and Nicobar Island today paid tribute to the Manipuri king Kullachandra and other 22 unknown martyrs at Mount Manipur today.
The team led by the President of UCM, Joychandra Konthoujam also planted Manipur’s indigenous trees – Yongchak (bean trees), Tairen and Heiranggoi at the premises of Mount Manipur. Later the UCM team also handed over a portrait of King Kullachandra to hang it at the Forest office.
The plantation of indigenous trees at Mount Manipur was conducted after getting prior permission from the Department of Forest of Andaman and Nicobar Island.
