Two held with one .32 pistol in Jiribam

Jiribam, June 16:

A combined team of a special mobile unit, Jiribam district police led by SI A. Krishna Sharma, and 39 Assam Rifles arrested two persons along with a pistol from Uchathol area at around 11:45 am on Thursday.
As per police report, receiving a specific information regarding the movement of some armed persons in Uchathol village areas. A combined team of Jiribam District police and 39 Assam Rifles launched an operation and were conducting frisking and checking of vehicles plying along IVR Uchathol, Jiribam.
While doing so, one coffee colour Bolero bearing Registration No. AS27A- 2905 was stopped for checking. On checking two unknown persons were found inside the vehicle. On searching the vehicle one .32 pistol along with one .32 pistol magazine, 45 nos. live round of .32 bullets, cash of Rupees 11,750, 5 nos of check of Bandhan Bank, one lava mobile handset, one Oppo A54 mobile handset, One Oppo A16E mobile handset has been recovered from their possession.
The duo has been identified as Lamgousang Singson (31) yrs S/o Thangkhosen Singson of Phaitol village, Soijahao Kuki (49) yrs. S/o Pallen Kuki of Phaitol village, under Tousem Sub- Division of Tamenglong District, Manipur.
The arrested persons mentioned above along with the seized articles are handed over to Jiribam police for taking up further necessary legal action.
