SF recovers 13 arms including SLRs and GF Rifles in search operation

Security forces had recovered thirteen numbers of arms from Bishnupur area while conducting search operation.
A statement of the state police said that 13 (thirteen) number of arms (09 -SLR, 02-GF Rifles and 02-SMC) on August 3 by the Security Forces while conducting search operations at various suspected areas of Bishnupur District.
The police statement said that heavy exchange of firing was occurred between armed miscreants at Terakhongsangbi and Molngat areas in which 01 (one) person sustained splinter injuries. Security Forces retaliated the firing and repelled the miscreants. The incident happened on August 3.
On the other hand large number of miscreants stormed Mantha Police Outpost in Bishnupur District and attempted to take arms and ammunitions but the Police teams immediately responded and repelled the miscreants. Search Operations were conducted immediately at Bishnupur and Nambol areas. In that 4 arms (SLR) without magazine were recovered from Heikrujam Canal and two arms (one INSAS LMG and one AK 56) and ammunitions were recovered near Ngaikhong Khunou foothills.
The police statement said that movement of 170 (one hundred seventy) vehicles on NH-37 and 160 (one hundred sixty) vehicles on NH-2 with essential items have been ensured.
