RIMS organized Swachhta Health Camp

As part of the Swachhta Action Plan 2024-25, the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, successfully organized a series of Swachhta Health Camps at various relief centers across the state. The inaugural camp was held on May 12, 2024, at Khangabok relief camp. Subsequent camps were conducted at Lilong Darul-Uloom Markaz, Thoubal, Sagoltongba, Kumbi Lai Shandhong Mandop, Bishnupur, and concluded today, at the Sunusiphai Awang Leikai Community Hall in Bishnupur.
During these camps, free treatment, health checkups and consultations were provided to the inmates staying at the relief centers which were mainly affected by the ongoing violence of the state.
A team of doctors from different departments of Medicine, Obst. and Gynae, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Dermatology and Dental College sincerely assessed, advised and counseled the patients who attended the health camp. Free medicines were also distributed to all the patients of different places.
The doctors, nursing staff, pharmacists, and other RIMS personnel actively participated, dedicating their services to assist the patients. Organizers of the relief camps and local club members expressed their appreciation for the health camps, highlighting the significant benefits for the public. They emphasized the convenience of having all specialists and medications available in one place, making comprehensive health check-ups more accessible for the patients.
