Relay hunger strike continuous: 4 Students began fast-unto-death

Imphal, July 20: Demanding withdrawal of the wanted tag on former JCILPS convenor Khomdram Ratan and enforcement of ILPS or a similar system in the State, the relay hunger strike which was launched since morning 7 am of July 17 at Singjamei Bridge has reach its fourth day today.
Thingujam (O) Ibetombi (73), Soibam (O) Sanajaobi (63), Laishram (O) Nungshirei (75) and Khangebam Ningol Tongbram (O) Renuka (67) all from Singjamei Kongba Road volunteers to continue the rely hunger strike for the seventh phase.
Meanwhile, four students have also began fat-unto-death protest demanding implementation of ILPS in the state and revocation of wanted tag on K Ratan since last night.
They are students of TG Higher Secondary School 12th Arts Tomthinnganbi Toijam, d/o T Seityabarta Luwang of Kongba Khaidem Leikai; TG Higher Secondary School 12th Science Pangambam Meria, d/o P Naobicha of Kongba Kshetri Leikai; Johnston Higher Secondary School 12th Science Ningthoujam Anand s/o N Bubon of Kangchup Mamang Leikai and CC Higher Secondary School 9th Science Chingkheinganba Nameirakpam s/o N Ranjit of Ningthem Pukhri Mapal.
On the other hand, it is said that the relay hunger strike would go on until the JAC’s demands are fulfilled or a solution is achieved.
