Preventive measures yield seizure of Contraband Liquor at FCP Gate, Jiribam

During intensified frisking and checking operations at the FCP gate in Jiribam, led by N. Rabindra Singh, Assistant Professor at Jiri College and Magistrate for the 18th Lok Sabha Election, Outer Manipur constituency, resulted in a significant seizure. A suspicious Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number ML05Y-4757 was intercepted while en route from Jirighat to Jiribam Bazar.
Upon thorough inspection, authorities discovered and seized a considerable quantity of liquor from the vehicle. The confiscated items included six bottles of Blenders Pride whiskey (750ml each), sixteen bottles of Royal Stag whiskey (750ml each), twenty-four bottles of Old Monk rum (180ml each), and three Kingfisher Cane Beers (500ml each). The contraband was found in the possession of Khuma, aged approximately 46 years, and hailing from Tuisen, Borobekra Sub-Division, Jiribam District, Manipur.
The approximate value of the seized items is estimated to be Rs. 12,942. This successful interception underscores the vigilance of the Static Surveillance teams and their commitment to maintaining law and order in the lead-up to the 18th Lok Sabha Election.
