The rebel group has alleged that “the drug problem is a strategy by the Indian state to undermine the youth of Manipur and accused certain individuals of facilitating poppy plantations and establishment of factories to destroy the state. This is an attempt to wipe out generations and generations of indigenous people.”
Therefore, the party has made a strong appeal that “those involved in the drug trade to cease their activities immediately for the progress and development of Manipur. Keeping the interest of the community and Manipur in mind, they should happily agree with out appeal that they should stop involving in the drug business.” So, they have warned that “those who continue such activities even our appeal will face the strictest punishment.”
The RPF/PLA has emphasized “the collective responsibility of safeguarding society and called for support from clubs, organizations, and the general public to help curb the drug menace.”
