PLA celebrates 45th Raising Day

The 45th Raising Day of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was celebrated today at various locations, including the General Headquarters, Tactical Command, Strategic Command, 252 Mobile Battalion, and other Army units. At these venues, respect and tribute were paid to those who sacrificed their lives in course of the liberation movement.
The 45th anniversary was also celebrated in areas under the jurisdiction of Divisions 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 of the Central Bureau. Festoons adorned with stars and the PLA’s red star were displayed, and the public joined in the festivities. The main highlights of the celebration included saluting the party’s flag, paying tribute to all the martyrs who laid down their lives during the liberation movement, and reading out a message from MM Ngouba, the acting president of the Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF), to the people.
On the occasion of the PLA’s 45th Anniversary, the RPF, the political wing of the PLA, expressed their wish for unity among the indigenous people of Manipur and their collective efforts towards the betterment of the people and the nation.
