One Day Workshop on ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’ held

A one-day orientation workshop on ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’ was held at the Auditorium of CBC, RO, Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak, Imphal today. The workshop was organized by the Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Imphal, for Private Registered Troupes (PRTs) and Individual Artists (IAs).
The workshop was attended by Ngangom Uttam Singh, MCS, Director of Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Engam Pame, IIS, Director of CBC, RO Imphal and PIB, Manipur, graced the occasion as the functional president.
During his speech, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of coordination between various departments of the State and Central Government while implementing central schemes. He also highlighted the need for clear and simple communication that can be easily understood by the general public.
Dr. Engam Pame, the President of the Function, commended the departmental artistes of CBC, RO, Imphal for their presentation of the theme song “Machi Oiba Chinjak” during the inaugural session. He discussed the role of the Central Bureau of Communication in disseminating important information from the Central Government to the public. He further emphasized that selected artist PRTs and IAs are privileged few and they should give the best efforts to meet the need of the target audience.
In his keynote address, Dr. Ibomcha Sharma Aribam, Head of Office, CBC, RO, Imphal, urged the newly inducted PRTs and IAs to utilize simple and effective media forms when delivering their messages.
During the technical session, Bantee Singh Konthoujam, MCS, State Nodal Officer, Poshan Abhiyan, delivered a lecture and provided demonstrations to help the PRTs and IAs understand the types of messages and information they should disseminate.
