One Day Free Medical Camp held

A One Day Free Medical Camp for villagers of interior and remote villages of Khengjoy Sub-Division  under the supervision of Chandel’s Deputy Commissioner Robert Singh Kshetrimayum, who is also a Chairman of the District Health Society (DHS) at Hengshi Village in Chandel District last Saturday.
The free medical camp was jointly organized by Centre for Women and Girls (CWG), Adventist Development & Relief Agency (ADRA) India and Thadou Students’ Association (TSA) Chandel District in collaboration with District Health Society, Chandel under the sponsorship of European Commission Humanitarian Organisation (ECHO).
Commanding Officer of 32 Assam Rifles Col. R. Naithani, Kuki Chiefs’ Association (KCA) Khengjoy Sub-Division’s Secretary Ngamkhosei Suantak, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Chandel Dr. Romi and Khengjoy BDO, Md Nazimuddin also graced as the presidium member at the inaugural function of the medical camp.
More than 300 villagers including villages from the surrounding 7 villages of Khengjoy Sub-Division availed free medical treatment in General medicine, Paediatric, Gynecologist.
Apart from distributing Arsenic Album 30 and other medicines free of cost to the villagers, an Anti Retrovital Screening and other laboratory Test were also conducted under the supervision of Dr. Kesho S. Moirangthem, District Aids Control Officer, Chandel during the medical camp.

Sponshership my ass. The camp is purely and 99% conducted by the BPMU Chakpikarong under National Health Mission, Chandel. The NGO as stated above has manipulated the entire health camp thru media which is unacceptable at all. To be precise, 277 patients were examined during the camp. Whatever it be, it good that the villagers got the benefit to the maximum.
