The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, has invited nomination of at least 3 (three) deserving candidates for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puruskar (PMRBP) awards, 2024 from every district of Manipur to felicitate meritorious children in the country.
The PMRBP awards aim to give due recognition to young brave hearts who have done selfless acts of exceptional bravery for others and to young children with outstanding abilitiesin the fields of Sports, Social Service, Science & Technology, Environment, Arts & Culture and Innovationat the national level.
As per the new guidelines, State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, District Collectors/ District Magistrates, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Urban Local Bodies, Educational Institutions, etc. may also send nominations for the deserving candidates.
Any child above the age of 5 years and not exceeding 18 years (as on 31st July of this year), who is an Indian citizen and residing in India, may apply for the award through the online portal https://awards.gov.inon or before31st July, 2024.
It may be mentioned that PMRBP awards are conferred by the Hon’ble President of India in a special ceremony at New Delhi. The recipient of the awards shall be declaredevery yearon 26th December on ‘Veer Bal Diwas’.
