No MLAs or Ministers should resign before completing their game – FOCS

Federation of Civil Society Organisation Manipur (FOCS) along with 6 other like-minded organizations today said that no Ministers or MLAs or the Chief Minister should not tender resignation at this crucial hour.
Speaking to reporters at its office at Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal today afternoon, President of FOCS Th. Manihar said that the people of the state will not accept the resignation of any Minister or MLAs and even the chief minister when the state is at crucial juncture.
“He (CM N. Biren) cannot resign without completing the game he had started” Manihar told the media persons.
Representatives of the Manipur Women Federation, Yelhoumi Kanba Lup, Universal Mothers Organisation, Manipur Keithel Nupi Marup, and Manipur Muslim Women organization were also present during the meeting with the media persons.
Manihar further told the media that the decision of the Chief Minister to resign from his post is not appropriate as the people of the state are at a crucial juncture.
“Except those absconded 10 MLAs, the remaining 50 MLAs should not resign, instead they should work together to restore peace in the state.
He said that any political party leaders who do not know the history of the state and who campaign for bringing president rule in the state will not be accepted by the people and will be boycotted by the people. He further appealed the MLAs and Ministers to convene an emergency state Assembly Session at the earliest.
