NFSA rice distributed at Kwakta to beneficiaries

Imphal, July 20: Fair price shop agents today have began distributing ration under the  National Food Security Act (NFSA) to the beneficiaries of Kwakta Municipal Council and Kwakta Gram Panchayat areas under Moirang Assembly Council.
The NFSA rice was distributed to the priority card and AAY card holders of the Kwakta Municipal Council and Kwakta Gram Panchayat areas at the rate allotted by the Government.
Allotted rice which is 35-kg each of every AYY card holders and 5-kg each for every priority householder was distributed accordingly.
One of the Agent said that the rice which is being distributed is for the month of April due to late arrival for the Kwakta Municipal Council and Kwakta Gram Panchayat area though it is already July month.
On the other hand, priority card and AAY card holders can avail their rations from their respective ward fare prize shop agents, the agent added.
As the distributing rice is for the month of April, the agent clarifies to the beneficiaries not to get confused thinking the rice is for the month of July.
