MUSU, MUTA intensify agitation; form human chain demanding removal of Vice Chancellor

Authority’s silence to the ongoing impasse at Manipur University which sparked after the Manipur University Students’ Union (MUSU ) demanded removal of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Adya Prasad Pandey, has prompted the Manipur University Teachers’ Association and the MUSU volunteers to intensity the agitation.

Today large number of students formed human chain in front of the University gate and demanded removal of the incompetent VC at the earliest. MUSU President Dayaman while talking to reporters said that they are not satisfied with the silence of the authority to the demand of the MUSU for removal of the VC even after 23 days. Other leader of the MUSU also criticise the conversion of MU complex into a war field by deploying huge large number of security force in the MU complex.

MUTA representatives while talking to media persons said that they are also not satisfied to the response of the VC regarding the ongoing agitation . A professor said that all allegations level against the VC has been intimated to the HRD Ministry and all other concern authority. Meanwhile MUSU said that the agitation will be intensified from June 24 if the authority fails to take action against the VC.
