MLA Thamarjit alleged of forging signatures of job card holders

Keirao Assembly constituency MLA, Karam Thamarjit was alleged of withdrawing rupees 25 lakhs by forging signatures of the job card holders Keirao Gram Panchayat. The job card holders today said that they will file a legal suit against the MLA for fraudulently  withdrawing the wages of the job card holders.Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, one of the petitioners, Kangabam Naoton Meitei, Secretary of Keirao job card holders association said that MLA Karam Thamarjit has forged signatures of job card holders of Keirao Gram Panchyat, under the MGNREGS of the Govt. of India and fraudulently withdrew a total sum of Rs. 25,00,000 (Twenty five lakhs) which is the outstanding wages of the job card holders of Keirao GP as their material component and wages for working on the roads of the villages. Naoton added that Ashem Hemanta Meitei, ex Pradhan of Keirao and former BDO, Imphal East –II, Keirao Bitra, Th. Priyochandra were also involved in committing the offence of forgery and misappropriation with the MLA, Thamarjit and hence a law suit has been filed against all the concerned people.
