Mission Blind School to start indefinite hunger strike

The Student’s Union of Mission Blind School,Heikakpokpi, Chandel district threatens to launch indefinite hunger strike from July 23 if the Govt. fail to upgrade their into a full-fledged school by June 22.
According to the press release issued by W. Angkham, General Secretary of the Student’s union Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi stated that the agitation will be carried out at National Highway 102 near Heikakpokpi village in Chandel district.
Regarding the full-fledged of the Mission School, Heikakpokpi a meeting was held on May 4, 2015 at the office chamber of Education Minister in the present of Tengnoupal A/C MLA along with Mission Blind School Students’ Union and Staff. After the prolong discussion, it was resolve that the problem will be put up in a cabinet meeting within one week but till date there is no response added the press release.
So if the government of Manipur did not take up necessary action on or before June 22 the students’ union will be compelled to go ahead with the proposed agitation.
