Minister Nemcha Kipgen echoes the message of peace & integrity

Textiles, Commerce and Industry Minister, Nemcha Kipgen echoed the message of peace, love and integrity at the Cultural Day of the 27th Sports Meet, 2023 of the Liangmai Sports Association held under the theme ‘Excel for Glory’ at Oklong, Senapati District this Sunday.
Addressing the gatherings, Minister Nemcha called upon all the people to march forward towards the path of development with an essence of love for one another irrespective of caste, color, creed and to forgive and forget any incidents that will hamper the growth of the society at large.
Nemcha expressed that Manipur is a truly gifted state. To save Manipur, she reiterated that everyone should support the ‘War on Drugs’ campaign which is actively initiated and supervised by the Chief Minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh. ‘Let us all eradicate the poppy completely from our land to save the present and future generations,’ she asserted.
While stating that through culture and traditional dress, one can show the integrity and oneness of Manipur, Textiles Minister called for participation of the Liangmai Tribe in the larger platform to showcase their rich culture, traditions and attires. She further stated that GI Tag for all the Handloom products of all the tribes of Manipur is in the pipeline.
Cultural dance, folk songs, cultural attires show were some of the main highlights of the Cultural Day of the LSA Sports Meet.
MLA, Tadubi AC, N. Kayisii, MLA, Wangkhei AC, Thangjam Arunkumar and Social Worker, Wilobou Newmai also graced the occasion as Special Guest, Functional President and Guest of Honour respectively.
