Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign launched

Chandel district joins the nation in celebrating India’s soil and valor, commemorating the nation’s journey of freedom and progress.
“Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign was launched today at Heigrutampak Village, Chandel District by the Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar, by unveiling the Shilaphalakam (memorial) erected in the memory of Sepoy Chara Nicholas Moyon, who made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War, 1999.
As part of today’s program, the Deputy Commissioner administered the “Panch Pran Pledge,” a solemn pledge covering the Panch Pran of the Prime Minister, affirming the commitment to the country, at the memorial site.
A tree plantation drive was also held as part of the program.
Today’s program was attended by ADC Chandel, Md. Firoj Khan, SDOs, DLOs, Students, villagers etc.
