Matai Society provides aid to flood affected residents

IT News
Imphal, June 1:

The Matai Society has stepped in to aid the residents of Lairikyengbam Makha Leikai Street Number 3, providing essential relief, including water and sanitary pads. The residents have been living on the upper floors of their houses and on the road, unable to access the nearby relief camp for water due to their need to stay close to their homes and guard against theft.
Residents have reported that, despite the proximity of the relief camp, they have not received any government relief materials. They are staying near their homes to protect their belongings, which has prevented them from benefiting from the resources available at the camp.
Additionally, the lack of boats for transportation has forced the residents to construct makeshift rafts to transport essentials. They are calling for the provision of boats for the entire Leikai area to facilitate the transportation of necessities to nearby localities and other streets within Lairikyengbam Leikai.
