Many condemn assault on Journalist Rameshore

Many condemn the brutal assault of journalist Elangbam Rameshore by around 20 persons in connection with the election campaign. Report said that Elangbam Rameshore, a correspondent of daily newspaper Naharolgi Thoudang sustain injury after around 20 persons who came to his residence today morning assaulted him. Reason for the assault could not be known at the moment but it has been speculated the reason to have been connected with the election campaign.
Source said that Rameshore is the journalist behind the report of mask persons attacking those who passed at Heirok road near the residence of a candidate.
Various editors and reporters of the state condemn the incident and demanded immediate arrest and punishment of the miscreants who had assaulted the journalist.
Meanwhile, locals of Rameshore, came out in the street and staged protests demanding arrest and punishment of the miscreants.
On the other hand, the local MLA of Heirok Assembly constituency Th Radheshyam also vehemently condemns the attack to journalist.
