LOYALUP celebrates World Farmers Day

Loumee Yaipha Lup, Kangleipak (LOYALUP), organized World Farmers Day at the Manipur Press Club’s Loktak Hall today. The event saw the participation of esteemed guests, including Kakchingtabam Debadutta Sharma, Director of the Horticulture & Soil Conservation Department; Tourangbam Birjit, working President of LOYALUP; Kh. Nimaichand, Project Officer of MOMA; Thangjam Joykumar, Managing Director of Thangjam Agro Industries Private Limited; and Thongbam Ibotombi, Associate Professor at DM College of Arts. They graced the occasion as Chief Guest, President, and Guest of Honor, respectively. Many farmers from across Manipur attended and actively participated in the event
During the program, LOYALUP’s working President, Tourangbam Birjit, emphasized “the pivotal role of farmers in the development of Manipur. He stressed that without the advancement of farmers, Manipur’s economy cannot progress.” Therefore, “it is imperative to enhance the livelihoods of farmers for the overall development of the state,” he stated.
