Kuki Zo demands resignation of Nemcha and Letpao from N. Biren’s govt.

Hardliners Kuki – Zo community leaders demanding separate administration are conducting a signature campaign for the resignation of Nemcha Kipgen and Letpao Haokip from the cabinet Ministers in the N. Biren Singh government.
Nemcha Kipgen is presently a cabinet minister in the N. Biren Singh government in charge of Textile, Commerce and Industries, Corporation Department, while Letpao Haokip is also a cabinet minister in charge of Tribal Affairs & Hills and Horticulture & Soil Conservation. Even though the two Ministers in the N. Biren Singh government have joined the 10 Kuki MLAs in demanding separate administration from Manipur.
Interestingly, the two Ministers Nemcha Kipgen and Letpao Haokip even though restrained from attending any cabinet meeting or assembly session are reportedly delivering their duty online. According to Chief Minister N. Biren, the two ministers are still intake with the government. However, people are demanding the government of Manipur take out the Ministry as they are not present in the office, and due to that departments that are in charge by the two are not functioning, and thus those departments remain functionless.
