Koireng led UNLF condoles Aheibam Birendra

Koireng led United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has issued a condolence statement remembering the contributions of the late Aheibam Birendra. In the statement issued by the Publicity Secretary of Koireng led UNLF, M. Shak-Hen, it has been stated that “since 1965, Aheibam Birendra has worked as an important member of the party, according to the Koireng led UNLF. Due to his failing health, he passed away on May 10, 2024, around 07:05 PM.”
He was the son of the late Aheibam Noyon and Aheibam Ongbi Maipakpi Devi. Born on October 1, 1947, he earned his Master’s degree in English from Gauhati University and taught at Churachandpur College and Oriental College. Afterward, he became the Director of Arts and Culture for the Government of Manipur. He later took charge as the Director of the Dimapur-based North East Zone Cultural Centre, Government of India.
According to Koireng led UNLF’s statement, “Aheibam Birendra joined the party in January 1965 and worked as the Secretary of Organization (Home). Until his last moment, he sacrificed for the cause of the party.”
