Banned armed group Kangleipak Communist Party (Poirei Meitei) has warned to shut down the schools and call statewide bandh if the authority of St Joseph School failed to publicly announce the termination of its computer science teacher, Gurumayum Rupachandra Sharma within three days time.
“The school should terminate the teacher, who allegedly beaten up a class VI student of the school, within 3 days’ time’, said the statement. It said the termination of the teacher should be announced publicly through media. The outfit also asked Rupachandra to surrender before the outfit within the stipulated time.
“If the school authority failed to do so, the outfit will permanently shut down St Joseph school and call 12-hour-long statewide bandh”, said Malemnganba Meitei, Publicity Secretary of the banned outfit warned in a release.
This is not for a particular school, the outfit will take the same step if any of the schools meted out corporal punishment to students, the secretary added.
While condemning the incident, Malemnganba stated that such an inhuman conduct of teacher is a heinous crime against teaching professional ethics.

I think if they think it will be appropriate to judge the teacher , commanding him to surrender immediately just to act so fastly for just in the eye of people ,as a motherland server. I think before acting on this kind of small judgement with no mercy ,I would like to ask where were your action at the (1) time when a minister son killed innocent boy (2) when some rich businessmans loot our people of state by some fake scheme n networks they were not punished y y I think if u want us to remember u then point ur power at their forehead so that our road become smoother, our society cleaner, public servant becomes more honest n our land more richer.
