JNIMS Trained Nurses Association suspends strike following salary assurance

Imphal, June 10:

The JNIMS Trained Nurses Association, under the leadership of President L. Ranjita Devi, has decided to suspend its “No Pay No Work” strike for one week. This decision comes after receiving assurance from the Director of JNIMS regarding the release of their 3-month salary.
In a press release issued by the Office of the Trained Nurses’ Association, JNIMS, it was stated that the Director of JNIMS has provided a written assurance that the salaries for March and April will be credited within one week’s time. Additionally, the salary for the month of May will be disbursed after 17th June.
The association unanimously decided to call off the strike for one week in response to this assurance. However, if the promised salaries are not credited within the specified time frame, the strike will be resumed from 18th June 2024.
President L. Ranjita Devi and General Secretary Bhanumati L. expressed gratitude for the understanding and support of the people of Manipur. Further details regarding the situation will be provided soon.
