Jiribam delegates to join Delhi Chalo mass rally

A team of 23 employees of Jiribam District today left Jiribam at around 8:30 am from Irabot Complex to join the Mass Rally demanding the revival of Old Pension Schemes (OPS) abolishing the National Pension Scheme (NPS) at New Delhi from Ram Leela Maidan to Parliament House on November 3. The mass rally is stated to be joined by Government Employees from different states of India. N. Soroja Singha, President of Manipur Government Services Federation (MGSF), Jiribam Branch today flagged off the team of 23 employees bound for New Delhi and the team was led by Chingakham Dhirendra Singh, Advisor of MGSF Jiribam Branch.
Speaking at the flagging off ceremony, N. Soroja Singha, President of MGSF Jiribam Branch said “The team of 23 employees from Jiribam District will be joining the Mass Rally from Ram Leela Maidan to Parliament House at New Delhi on November 3. I wish and pray for the wellbeing of all the participants leaving Jiribam today, to join the mass Rally without any hindrances and to return safe and sound.”
It may be mentioned that the mass rally on November 3 from Ram Leela Maidan to Parliament House at New Delhi organised by All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF) and Confederation of Central Government Services (CCGS) stated to be participated by employees of State and Central Government from different states of the country, is also going to be joined by 100 delegates of Manipur Government Higher  Secondary Lectures Welfare Association, Manipur Government Services Federation, Manipur State Pension Union and Manipur Secretariat Services Association.
The main demands of the mass rally are, to implement 8 Pay Commission for employees and pensioners of the country, to fill up the already vacant post in various departments, to implement and revive Old Pension Scheme (OPS) in lieu of National Pension Scheme (NPS), to pay beneficiaries for the already retired employees etc.
