Indian Army rescues 2 abducted persons

Indian Army rescued two persons who were kidnapped by suspected Kuki militants from Premnagar area under Sekmai Police station in Imphal West district at around 6.30 am. today.
According to report, the two persons identified as Loitonjam Kuber, son of late Ibopishak of Kanto Sabal, and one Louriyam Nilakanta @ Sanathoi, son of L. Sharat were kidnapped by suspected Kuki militants while they were on their way to collect paddy.
Talking to local TV channel, Louriyam Nilakanta said they he along with L. Kuber went for collecting paddy from their field. The place where they went is a Nepali village and adjacent to the village is a Kuki Village. As per Nilakanta, when they reached Premnagar village they met two Kuki villagers. The two villagers asked them why they came to the village. When told that they came to the village to collect paddy, the two Kuki called some Kuki elders and some of them rushed to the site. The suspected Kuki militants took them to a house and tied their hands with ropes. After some minutes, the suspected Kuki militants left the place. Some minutes later they heard the Indian army coming towards the village. The Indian army then rescued them.
