Imphal, April 2:

Security personnel at JNIMS Hospital conducted a thorough drive within the premises, resulting in the seizure of various unauthorized drugs and substances from patients’ parties. These confiscated items were subsequently set on fire and destroyed under the supervision of hospital authorities.
Expressing gratitude to the security personnel for their efforts, JNIMS Director Dr. L Deben highlighted the recovery of tobacco products during the operation. He condemned the presence of illegal substances within the hospital premises, emphasizing that such activities have no place within a healthcare facility.
Dr. Deben further stated that the seized tobacco products were brought into the wards by patient parties, prompting strong resentment from the hospital administration. He assured that JNIMS would take strict action to prevent similar incidents in the future, warning that individuals caught in possession of unauthorized substances by security personnel would face legal consequences.
The proactive measures undertaken by JNIMS Hospital underscore its commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The administration’s stance against illicit activities within healthcare facilities sends a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated, ensuring the integrity and professionalism of the institution.
