IFS Officers take charges as Divisional Forest Officers

Imphal, July.23:

On the basis of the Order dated 14th July 2021 of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Personnel Division), Government of Manipur, three IFS Officers have taken charge of three territorial forest divisions of the state namely Jiribam, Thoubal, and Chandel.
Rajesh Dashrath Darade IFS (2016 Batch) has taken charge of Jiribam Forest Division/Jiribam District as Divisional Forest Officer, Praveen Kumar Nigam IFS (2017 Batch) as DFO Thoubal for Thoubal Forest Division which covers Thoubal and Kakching District and Vijay Sahebrao Kanthale IFS (2017 Batch) as Divisional Forest Officer, Chandel Forest Division/ Chandel District.
Rajesh Dashrath Darade from Baramati in Pune District of Maharastra is a graduate in Computer Engineering from Pune University and had served as Deputy Conservator of Forests, Biodiversity and Climate Change in Forest Department before assuming charge as DFO Jiribam. Praveen Kumar Nigam, a native of Uttar Pradesh is a physics graduate from St. Stephen’s College Delhi and was serving as Assistant Conservator of Forests at the Forest Head Quarters, Sanjenthong while Vijay Sahebrao Kanthale was serving as Director of Manipur Zoological Garden before assuming charge as DFO Chandel. He is a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Kolhapur University and worked as a lecturer in an Engineering college before joining the Indian Forest Services.
Their joining as the Divisional Forest Officers of these important Forest Divisions might give fresh impetus towards conservation, protection, and preservation of the rich biodiversity of the state of Manipur.
