Iboyaima award conferred to Th. Nobin

14th Iboyaima award was today conferred to 67 years old Thounaojam Nobin for his contribution to Shumang Leela art forms acting as Nupishabi. The award was conferred today on the occasion of 14th Shumang Leela day organised by Manipur state Shumang Leela Council at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen.
Attending the function as Chief Guest, Speaker, Manipur, Th Lokeshor said that Shumang Leela art forms is still a popular art form and most wanted by the people of the state. The art form can give message to the people and therefore it can be used as a tool to bring peace in the society. He further said that the artists who are playing major roles in passing message to the people through this art form needs to be appreciated.
K Radhakumar Singh, IAS, Secretary Arts & Culture and S Manaoton, Social Worker attended the function as President and Guest of Honour respectively.
The 14th Iboyaima award was conferred to Thounaojam Nobin who is popularly known as Amina Shabi for his contribution to Shumang Leela art form. He received the award along with a cash award of Rs 20,000.
