Hospitality a welcome experience for visitors to Manipur: CM Biren

Imphal, June 19 :  Manipur Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh here on Monday flagged off a “India to Spain’ car rally.
The flagged-off ceremony was held at Classic Grande making Manipur as the gateway. The car rally is participated by eight persons headed by two women hailing from Pune.
The people around the world hear and talk about Manipur’s law and order situation but once they visit this state they are mesmerised by its culture which provides warm hospitality to them, CM Biren stated on the occasion.
“The politeness of the people of Manipur and their warm hospitality mesmerise people who come to visit this state adorned by stunning natural beauty and scenic vistas,” he said.
The Chief Minister described Manipuri people as cultured, self-effacing, gracious and polite.
He said, “This culture of hospitality has been a welcome experience for visitors to Manipur which will help boost the tourism industry.”
The car rally will cover 16 countries and reach Spain within 53 days.
