Imphal, June 13:

The Government of Manipur, through its Home Department, has issued a notification mandating all displaced persons to submit details of their owned properties. This directive applies to individuals who have been displaced within the state or are residing outside Manipur.
According to the notification, affected individuals must furnish property particulars to their respective District Collectors (DCs), Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs), or Sub-Divisional Commissioners (SDCs). Those residing outside Manipur are required to submit the information to the Deputy Resident Commissioners at Manipur Bhawans located in Kolkata and Guwahati, or to the Resident Commissioner at Manipur Bhawan in New Delhi.
The submission must adhere to the prescribed format provided in ANNEXURE-A of the notification. The initiative aims to gather comprehensive information about properties owned by displaced persons across different locations.
“This notification has been issued with the approval of the competent authority,” stated Jaspreet Kaur, Special Secretary (Home) of the Government of Manipur.
The notification comes in the light of the government’s efforts to streamline property documentation and management amid concerns related to displacement within the state.
