Heingang Committee issues warning against personal attacks on CM, ridiculing constituency

IT News,
Imphal, June 27:

The Heingang Kendra Joint Committee has expressed concern over personal attacks directed at the Chief Minister and criticism aimed at the Heingang constituency.
N. Borun Meitei, spokesperson for the committee, emphasized the need to refrain from personal criticisms against the Chief Minister. “It is regrettable that certain individuals, including Dhanabir Laishram and Th. Sujata, have been making personal remarks against the CM, particularly within the context of the ongoing crisis,” he stated. Additionally, they have objected to ridiculing the constituency.
He underscored that such criticisms not only reflect poorly on the constituency but also divert attention from critical issues at hand. “People of Heingang should not be associated with personal attacks. Many from our constituency have actively participated in efforts to address the crisis,” he added.
Furthermore, the committee urged against dredging up the Chief Minister’s past and perpetuating discussions that distract from urgent matters.
Issuing a stern warning, the Joint Committee cautioned that continued personal attacks could lead to consequences, and the committee would take necessary actions in response.
In addition to addressing internal concerns, the Joint Committee encouraged active participation from residents of the Heingang constituency in the upcoming rally organized by the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI).
“The Joint Committee calls upon everyone from the Heingang constituency to participate wholeheartedly in the COCOMI rally. This is a crucial moment for solidarity and collective action,” N. Borun Meitei concluded.
