Governor La. Ganesan visits IGAR(South)

Governor of Manipur La. Ganesan visited IGAR (South), Mantripukhri today. As a tribute to the heroes and departed souls of Assam Rifles, he laid wreath at the war memorial of IGAR (South) and put signature to the visitors’ book.
On La. Genesan’s arrival, he was welcomed by the Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), Maj General Alok Naresh and his team. The Governor firstly visited Chanakya hall, Helipad and war memorial of IGAR (South). At the concluding part of La. Genesan’s visit, aged war veterans of Indo-Pak war (1971) and World War II, who once served in Assam Rifles as well as wives and sisters of late riflemen were felicitated with presents.
Selected meritorious students of class VI to class X of Assam Rifles Public School, Mantripukhri, who performed outstandingly well in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic were also given gifts at Haflong lawn of the IGAR (South).
