Fresh attack by the Kuki militants related to upcoming G-20 summit: UMO

IT News
Imphal, Sept 2:

The Kuki-Zo people who have been waging war to distort the territorial integrity of the state and further demanding a separate administration has slowly started realizing that their dreams will not be fulfilled at any cost, after their lies, and false propagandas has been known by the people around world and the Government of India. As a result, the Kuki militants have started targeting innocent civilians after a period of inactivity, and it is crucial for the people of the state to recognize their malicious intentions. This information was conveyed in a press release issued by the Universal Mother’s Organization (UMO).
The press release further said, “According to the press release, even Union Home Minister Amit Shah acknowledged in Parliament that the current unrest in Manipur is caused by illegal refugees from the state. A Human rights Activist, Babloo Loitongbam has expressed his displeasure with the statement of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah. What is his hidden agenda behind this? What does he gain by standing against his own people and community?. The Kuki-Zo community has now realized that using the minority status, religion, fabricated history, and documents to gain sympathy and support from international organizations will not be successful. Even other non-Meitei community, that is the Naga Apex Body, United Naga Council (UNC) in a press release on August 21 has also categorically exposed the falsehoods and deceit of the Kuki-Zo community to the people of the state. It is important for the people of Manipur and the rest of India to note that the recent attacks by Kuki militants are linked to the G-20 summit scheduled to take place in New Delhi on September 9 and 10, 2023. This is another desperate attempt by the Kukis to portray themselves as victims and falsely accuse the Meitei community in order to tarnish the image of the state and the Meiteis in front of international participants attending the G-20 summit.”
UMO urges the people of the state to remain vigilant against the Kukis, who are habitual liars and have no shame in engaging in despicable acts.
The press release also strongly criticizes the Passport Department for suspending its operations and closing the passport office in Imphal. It highlights that the ongoing conflict waged by the Kukis is being fought by ordinary breadwinners and the impoverished, who fearlessly sacrifice their lives for their motherland, while the wealthy and influential individuals from privileged families enjoy the comforts of their palatial homes without any concern for the ongoing war aimed at protecting the state and its people.
The press release, signed by UMO President Moirangthem Sorojini Leima, emphasizes that there is still time to save the community and the state, although it may be slightly delayed. It appeals to leaders and politicians to demonstrate courage and unity for the sake of Manipur. It is unprecedented in Manipur’s history that leaders and politicians remain silent and passive spectators while the people fight to protect the state. If the leaders and politicians fail to fulfill their duties, it should be noted that there are many capable individuals who can step up to the task.
