Imphal, Aug 7:

The Federation of Civil Society Organisation (FOCS) Manipur, today in a press release had put up some pertinent questions in regard to the prevailing situation in the state. The organisation had demanded that the Speaker of the Manipur Assembly should disqualify the 10 Kuki MLAs before the state Assembly is in session. They further accused the said MLAs of being part of the sinister attempt to disintegrate the state by demanding a separate administration.
Explaining why the organisation had called for a restriction on the movement of the CAPFs, Publicity Secretary of FOCS, Naresh Mangang expressed suspicions about the role of the CAPFs in the present conflicts. Citing the examples of the recent conflict near Torbung, FOCS questioned the reason for the use of Army Chopper on the day. Whether the AR is using Chopper to protect and transport the Kuki militants or not, FOCS said and demanded immediate clarification from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The organisation also condoled the death of Sanasam Bungcha (15(F)01814) S/o Ingocha, of 5th IRB from Yairipok Yambem, presently posted in Moreh due to Dengue. Expressing dismay in the situation of lawlessness in the Moreh town they urged the state government to provide all the necessary provisions to the state forces so that normalcy and rule of law can be established in Moreh as soon as possible.
