Dr. Elangbam Bishwajeet appointed as visiting Professor at Aston University UK

Research Forum Manipur has congratulated Dr. Elangbam Bishwajeet, a doctor originating from Manipur on his huge accomplishment of being appointed and entitled as Visiting Professor at Aston University, Birmingham, United Kingdom. Dr. Bishwajeet is presently working as a Consultant in Accident and Emergency Medicine, West Birmingham, and Sandwell Trust NHS, Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Dr. Elangbam Bishwajeet is also the first doctor from North East India, India to become a consultant in Emergency Medicine and he is also awarded STAR AWARD 2018 @Birmingham which is given by the England Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust for his excellence in medical education.
A statement by Research Forum Manipur said that the people of Manipur are very proud of Dr. Elangbam Bishwajeet’s achievements.
“Being from small State Manipur, having fewer facilities and now has become world-class doctor is something we all should be proud of. Dr. Elangbam Bishwajeet has also contributed to our rich Manipuri history and heritage by bringing forth many enlightening historical facts. He is the first Manipuri to get copyrights from the British Library to exhibit and share rare photographs of Manipur during the reign of British rule in Manipur. Because of his hard work and commitment, we were able to see the real-life picture of our great freedom fighters Athouba Yuvaraj Tikendrajit and a few other significant figures. He should be applauded for his contribution in this matter. He is also famous for introducing the gardening concept in Manipur, known as “Blooming Manipur” which created waves of gardening all across Manipur. Another massive contribution of Dr. Elangbam Bishwajeet is his significant role during the Covid-I9 pandemic. He fearlessly fought and saved many lives during Covid- I9 pandemic.
Through visual television conferences, he tried his level best to educate the people of Manipur by constant monitoring and providing online training in Manipur covering the interior hill areas, the major hospitals in the valley and participated in various discussion programs of Manipur electronic media houses. He has also set up the Manipur Emergency Support Group during the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic and successfully raised funds from various groups across the world and donated 02 concentrators and Ili-Flow oxygen masks to almost all the hospitals and Public I Health Centers in all the districts of Manipur.
Research Forum Manipur (REFORM) believes that a person like Dr. Elangbam Bishwajeet will inspire the youths of Manipur and contribute to make our motherland a better place.
