District Administration, Senapati extended aid to evacuated families

IT News
Senapati, May 29:

The District Administration of Senapati has extended assistance to families evacuated due to continuous heavy rains and rising water levels in the Senapati, Mayangkhang, and Barak rivers, as well as breaches in several embankments.
Since Monday night, relentless rain has led to mudslides, landslides, and flooding in areas such as Viewland Colony, River Colony, Yapao Colony, Church Road Colony, and Karong. To support the displaced families, the District Administration has set up three relief camps: at the Mini Indoor Stadium near Traffic Circle, ADC New Building near the District Council office, and Thingba Khunou Prayer Centre in Viewland.
The evacuated families were distributed with Rice, edible oils, Dals, Salts and drinking water. It may be also mentioned that the District Administration is constantly monitoring the landslides area and flood affected area and also clearing the road from mudslides, landslides and fallen trees across the road.
