Imphal, May 10:A dharna was staged today at Kakwa Landaibung Leikai to protest the gun fire at the house of the president of Langdaibung Meira Paibi Lup Thongbam Lata Devi, 52, wife of Th Rajen yesterday night. According to a woman present at the demonstration site, at least three persons riding on a motorbike fired two-three rounds in the direction of the Thongbam’s residence. The demonstrators while condemning the attack sought the reasons from the people behind it and requested them not to commit such acts in the residential area in the future.
