DESAM clarifies over the St. Joseph school incident

President of DESAM Moirangthem Angamba today said that the volunteers did cause some physical harassment to Computer Science teacher of St, Joseph School as the tension of some of the volunteers could not be controlled. He however said that the teacher Gurumayum Rupachandra (age 35), son of G. Jadumani of Uripok Achom Leikai had also acted smart and assaulted the class six student severely which is not permitted by the now education policy under RTE. He said the teacher is equally punishable for his barbaric attitude towards his students.
Angamba further said that Gurumayum Rupachandra should be expelled from St. Joseph School and warns of dire consequences to any other schools in the state if he has been provided employment as teacher.

Editor should b add "Beaten of teachers by student is permitted by the new education policy under RTE."
