Imphal, July 17: Locals today rounded up a person while he was trying he was trying lift a cycle at Bashikhong Kongba Irong under Irilbung police station at around 8.30 am today.
The identity of the cycle lifter is identified as P Sanjit Singh, son of P Kumar of Langdum Makha Leikai.
According to locals, the person lifted the cycle from a nearby field when the owner, a lady was working in the field early today morning. The cycle lifter then tried to sell the cycle to a person at Bashikhong Kongba Irong area. When e was bargaining for the price the owner of the cycle turned up all of a sudden and started heated argument following which the locals of the area gathered and later rounded up the cycle lifter. Later he was handed over to the Police.
